Pimpage.

So some old high school friends of mine have set up a pretty cool service called hab.la, that lets you easily incorporate a chat window on your website, and visitors who want to chat with you will just IM you directly via Jabber. I normally don't do off-topic pimpage like this, but it's cool, they're cool, and it's free. If you've been looking for something like this all your life, give hab.la a shot. And then, um, get a life.

For Real?

This is the coolest thing I've seen in, um, forever: indie game art T-shirts sold at Target that come with a demo CD attached. I'm tempted to think it's the Kyles pulling a practical joke, but if anyone can pull it off, it's them. This is a crazy/awesome form of nondigital distribution. I'm wondering if Target gives them crap about not having an ESRB rating for the demo discs.

Lust for Technology

So I really, really, really need to import this from Japan. Once it's available. And once I buy a DS to replace the one that was stolen from me.

Huh.

I didn't know until just now that Three Rings has an office in Philly.

Audiosurf and Steam's Long Tail

Apparently, Audiosurf was the top-selling title on Steam in February. As Jeff put it in the office today: does this mean that Audiosurf is selling really well, or does it mean that there's not really a long tail for games on Steam? I'd be really interested to see the actual sales numbers of, say, the top 20 titles for the month. Fat chance of that happening, though.
